JSC „Gazpromneft-Aero” („subsidiary” of „Gazprom Neft”) has ordered models for predicting the demand for aviation fuel. The company announced that it has announced a tender for the development of short-term monthly and long-term forecasts until the end of 2026.
The customer is waiting for predictive demand models for aviation fuel (Jet A-1, TS-1, RT, etc., including kerosene used outside the needs of aviation and sent for blending with diesel fuel and excluding aviation gasoline) in three scenarios.
At the first stage, it is planned to prepare initial data and calculate the demand for aviation fuel for the actual period from 2019 to October 2022. This information should include the fuel efficiency of passenger and freight traffic.
Short-term forecasts should be provided monthly until the end of 2026. On a monthly basis, the Contractor collects and analyzes market information on factors affecting the demand for jet fuel, including information on air travel restrictions and fleet modernization.
Also, when forecasting monthly indicators, the contractor must take into account the seasonality of passenger traffic in the context of domestic and international airlines, freight traffic, consumption of kerosene by other consumers.
The tender also involves the formation of long-term forecasts for the period from 2025 to 2040.
